A BRIEF HISTORY OF FLYIN RYAN GRIFFITHS AND THE FLYIN RYAN MOTORCYCLE STUNT SHOW

Ryan Griffiths started riding a motorcycle in 1975 at the age of 3 years. In 1980 he started racing with local schoolboy motocross clubs and won the first of many championships. The next 9 years consisted of racing every weekend and 12 more championships and many race wins, and this soon earned him the nickname "Flyin Ryan" with the off road press. In 1989 Ryan started racing as an adult and made expert status quickly, won 6 South Midland Expert Motocross Championships, was placed 3rd in the British Supercross Championship (2001) and has won the Wild n Woolly (oldest scramble in the world) a record 8 times.

Flyin Ryan started performing stunts in 1998, firstly 'Target Jumping' (ramp to ramp), then freestyle jumping took over and Ryan performed freestyle shows in England and Scotland and also competed in the UKs first ever FMX competition (Air Wars).

In 2000, Flyin Ryan started performing with some of the country's most experienced stunt shows and gained from their years of valuble experience, however Ryan saw an opportuntiy to mix the old stunts with a modern approach and The Flyin Ryan Motorcycle Stunt Show was born and since then he has performed his motorcycle skills all over the United Kingdom at many varied events and shows, and has now added humour, style and on bike commentary to his exciting motorcycle stunt shows.

In 2002 Jumpin James joined The Flyin Ryan Motorcycle Stunt Show and he attempts to recreate Flyin Ryans stunts on a smaller scale.

The Flyin Ryan motorcycle stunt show now performs all over the UK throughout the summer at fetes, country fairs, steam rallies and motorcycle shows which doesn’t leave a lot of time for racing motocross championships but he still races at selected motocross ,enduro, and supercross events in the UK whenever possible.
